Yellowbird Wellbeing, is a boutique wellbeing business, founded by Tracy Clarke [Registered Psychologist] & Todd Clarke [Occupational Therapist & Specialist Disability Driving Instructor]. We are a registered NDIS provider providing unique and boutique supports to & with people with and without a disability. We are located in the beautiful Hunter, surrounded by all that nature has to offer. We provide services to those with or without an NDIS plan. We also will travel and use technology to deliver support throughout the Hunter, New England, Central Coast, Mid North Coast, Mid Coast, Stroud, Gloucester & Dungog regions delivering a range of different supports. We are also building HQ office in Stroud, with completion scheduled for March 2020.
Yellowbird Wellbeing was born late 2016 as an extension and expansion of our family business TT Driver Training that has been delivering disability specialist driver training and driver rehabilitation since 2002.
A life long dream to own rural property is now complete and this facilitates our wellbeing vision to deliver disability supports differently and offer new and innovative supports and opportunities to be realised in this unique environment. At the core of our boutique wellbeing business are family values as we are a family run business, that has the client at the centre of everything we do. These values are crucial to our ability to be present, authentic and provide evidence based practices through non traditional applications and environments. We depend on our clients feedback and input to ensure our programs are tailored to their needs.
Yellowbird Wellbeing have a passion for providing innovative options in order to support people with a disability in new and creative ways, discovering new ways of providing traditional disability supports. We work tirelessly at developing new programs based on published peer reviewed research, trialing new ideas, and placing ourselves as the next generation of disability and mainstream support providers. We are a small service without a layered management system - so the people supporting you are the ones shaping the service we provide.
We approach wellbeing holistically offering a range of modalities and various services to support your needs. Our Psychologist, Occupational Therapist, Specialist disability Driving Instructor, Allied Health professionals & Support Workers are highly skilled, professional and offer the highest quality services. Operating in various outdoor locations and online.
Based in Stroud, NSW, we provide mobile & remote support with contractors that are mobile as well based across the Hunter including Newcastle, Dungog Shire, Lake Macquarie & Central Coast. In the Drivers Seat has since come under the Yellowbird Wellbeing banner, therefore we are now providing Independent Support Coordination, & Specialist Support Coordination services for the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) participants across the state.
Our co-founder & CEO, Tracy Clarke and staff recognise that participants have an overwhelming need to become empowered through their NDIS plans. We will work and collaborate alongside our participants, staff & stakeholders to achieve our participants goals and inspire their personal independence as the outcome to our service.
Our founders and contractors have experience in all areas of NDIS, Psychology, Occupational Therapy, Disability, Mental Health, and small business. Working together we have developed an approach to provide developmentally-appropriate guidance for the coordination of NDIS participant’s funds. Using person-focused practice & technology, our approach tracks independence and quality during your journey with us.
Starting and managing an NDIS plan can be stressful and confusing. It is our mission to offer individualised supports, in meaningful and transparent ways, so that the initial complexities and ongoing responsibilities of being an NDIS participant don’t get in the way of you living your best life.
