The total NDIS hours quoted [between 10 - 20 hours usually depending on complexity] includes:
Contact with client and/or family member/support coordinator etc and arrangements for assessment
Licence status check with RMS Medical Unit
Notification to referring Doctor and request for referral and Health History if not already received if required
Full offroad assessment (2 hours)
Onroad assessment in dual control modified automatic vehicle (1 hour)
Completion of OT Driver report and submitted to the online portal. A copy to NDIS, client, referring Doctor [if applicable]
Completion of NDIS vehicle AT assessment report
Liaison and quotes obtained from suppliers for prescribed vehicle modification/s to include with NDIS report submission.
Post-assessment call to referring Doctor and/or client if required.
On the day of the appointment, the client needs to ensure they have a minimum of 3 hours available to undertake the offroad and onroad components of the OT driving assessment.
